What follows are the components that are part of Gaius's programs, each under its own licence. Which of them a given download contains is noted at each one. SDL 2 -- Simple DirectMedia Layer (every build) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows and Linux builds link SDL 2 (the Windows program has it built in, the Linux package uses the system's or the one it was built against); the Android package contains SDL 2's native library and its Java glue; the web build is compiled against Emscripten's port of SDL 2. Miles Audio Interface Library 2.14 -- the music driver (every build) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The code that turns the game's music files into FM notes (audio/ail_xmidi.cpp) follows the source of the Audio Interface Library driver the original game shipped (XMIDI.ASM and YAMAHA.INC, release 2.14 of 14 November 1992). John Miles released that source to the public as freeware in 2000, "usable by anyone for any purpose". Web build only: Emscripten and its runtime libraries (the browser version) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The WebAssembly program is built with Emscripten (https://emscripten.org) and contains parts of its runtime and libraries: Emscripten itself (MIT licence, and the University of Illinois/NCSA licence), the musl C library (MIT licence), and LLVM's libc++, libc++abi and compiler runtime (Apache License 2.0 with LLVM exceptions). The licence texts are in the Emscripten distribution and at the addresses above.
